MILLION DOLLAR DIP with a KICK
Recently, I was at a family party in South Carolina and had my first taste of the legendary Million Dollar Dip. It was so good that I needed to be dragged away before I ate it all. My only thought though was that it could use a little kick so I added some Tony Chachere’s and made this incredible dip even better.
Sometimes called Neiman Marcus Dip, Million Dollar Dip was created by the original celebrity chef Helen Corbitt who at the time was the Director of Food Services at the Neiman Marcus Department store in Dallas and ran the Zodiac Room there. It’s basically a decadent version of pimento cheese with only 7 ingredients. It’s super easy to pull together and will make anyone at the party who digs in say, “Woah, who brought this dip??” just like I did at that party in South Carolina.
Happy Holidays!

Makes about 2 cups of dip
Ingredients:
1/2 cup toasted slivered almonds
1 cup mayonnaise
1 - 8oz pack cream cheese
1 - 8oz block sharp cheddar, grated
3 - diced scallion
8 - slices bacon, cooked, dried and crumbled
2 - tablespoons Tony Chachere’s No Salt Original Creole Seasoning
a box of your favorite crackers
Start by leaving the cream cheese out for an hour in a large mixing bowl to soften. Cook the bacon slowly until cooked through and crispy, crumble and set aside. Toast the almond slivers in a dry pan until toasty and set aside. Use a hand mixer (or good spoon and some muscle) to blend the cream cheese and mayo together. Add the rest of the ingredients, stirring gently, refrigerate and serve with your favorite crackers….that’s it!
